Policy

We operate a doorstep drop-off and pickup policy to minimise risk. No parents/carers will be able to enter the property. Any parents/carers arriving at the same time as another are requested to social distance.

I will ensure that children have regular access to soap/hand sanitiser. Additional handwashing will take place and all children will also be required to wash their hands on arrival and after physical contact with others and equipment.

Children will not be able to bring toys from home.  All toys used in the setting will be disinfected at the end of each session or as and when necessary throughout the day.  Toys that cannot be easily disinfected will not be used.

There will be additional cleaning on top of my usual routine.  In particular, high contact areas such as handles, tables, taps, light switches etc will be disinfected regularly throughout the day.  Toilets will be disinfected after each use. Any bedding used in my setting will be washed regularly at a high temperature.

Lunch boxes will not be stored in the fridge and I would ask that parents use ice blocks, coolers in them.

I will not be attending playgroups, clubs or have social interaction with others during the outbreak. We will still be taking part in outdoor activities whilst ensuring social distancing measures are in place.

If children show any signs of Covid-19, they must be picked up immediately. Please ensure your contact details are correct (especially if your backup contacts are in the vulnerable group). Your child will be kept away from the other children until they are picked up.

Covid-19, symptoms are: Persistent cough, raised temperature (over 37.5 C), shortness of breath, chronic fatigue and/or aches and pains plus in some cases a loss of sense of smell or taste.

If your child shows any signs of illness, they will be required to isolate at home for 7 days, but be kept at home for 14 days. You are liable for half fees during this time as per your contract. Tests can be booked through nhs.uk/coronavirus.  If the child tests negative but is still showing symptoms, they will still be required to stay at home until the symptoms have cleared.
