SassyKids - Probus, Cornwall Ofsted Registered Childminder
Welcome to SassyKids run by Lisa Adams a fully Ofsted qualified and Early Years Practitioner. Providing a safe, stimulating home environment for children to learn, grow and develop. I am currently working in full time employment so only offering 8.00am until 5.00pm Tuesday and Wednesday during the school holidays only. If you require hours outside of these, please get in touch. |
Working with Parents
It is crucial to the development of your child that you and I work closely together. Parents are always encouraged into my home to view their child's artwork on display or if relevant their development folder. Parents are also encouraged to contribute to themes and in the newsletter should they wish to do so. Communication is paramount and therefore I have an ‘open door’ policy where you can contact me via text or email during the hours of 8.00-19.00 and I will respond when I can.
If you should need to discuss something confidentially, please arrange to make an appointment with me.
Note; I will not discuss childminding issue within the school environment.
What I need to know about your children;
Any medical conditions or allergies that your child may have.
Foods that your child likes or dislikes or any food intolerances.
Favourite items such as toys, books or comforters.
Sleeping patterns
Anything that may affect their behaviour like illness, bad night’s sleep etc.
Where school aged children find relaying information challenging, please let me know and I can provide information.
For younger children I use a daily diary which informs you of nappy changes, nap times, meals, snacks, drinks, what toys your child has played with and the activities that they have participated in. This includes observations and any pictures I have taken of our day.
What you will need to provide:
A change of clothes in case of any spillages, accidents etc. If children are potty training a spare pair of underwear in a small, labelled bag.
Suitable clothing including hats, scarves, gloves and wellies in the winter and sun hat, sun cream for the summer.
Comfort toys or blankets.
Car seat relevant to the child’s age/weight.
Baby formula/breast milk - stored according following correct guidelines.
Nappies/Wipes/cream.
Anything else that you think your child may need.
Please label your child’s belongings.
